The National African American Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. (NAADPC) initially organized in April 2004 and incorporated in January 2006 as a not-for-profit corporation to engage in education and advocacy for change in social policy with reference to substance abuse, related mental and emotional disorders, and reforms in our healthcare and criminal and juvenile justice systems, and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501©(3) comprising of twenty-five (25) pre-eminent African American organizations in law, healthcare, education, housing, human behavior, law enforcement and criminal justice on Friday, November 20, 2009 at a formal luncheon of leading citizens of Los Angeles, California,  recognized the establishing of the local Chapter in Los Angeles, California as an affiliate of the National organization to support and carry out its mission, objectives and goals.
